he HIROSS AIR sterilization air filter removes bacteria and microbial contamination from compressed air lines. Rated at 1.5 m³/min and 0.7 MPa working pressure, the HR-15 housing is built from 304 stainless steel and splits at a bolted flange for fast element service. One housing accepts replaceable elements of different grades, so filtration can be upgraded without changing pipework. A top-mounted gauge shows pressure drop for maintenance planning, while the bottom drain valve removes condensate. Typical installations include food and beverage filling, pharmaceutical packaging, fermentation and medical breathing air systems.

1. Sterile-grade filtration at the point of use Installed after dryers and general-purpose filters, the HR-15 removes bacteria and microbial aerosol directly in the air line. At a rated capacity of 1.5 m³/min and a working pressure of 0.7 MPa, it suits contact-air and filling points where the air stream meets the product.
2. 304 stainless steel housing The body, head and flange are made of 304 stainless steel. 304 resists moisture and corrosion and can be wiped down or washed, which matters in food, beverage and pharmaceutical areas where a carbon steel housing would rust, flake and shed particles into the air stream.
3. One housing, multiple replaceable element grades Elements of different filtration grades can be installed in the same housing. When a higher or lower filtration level is required, the element is changed and the pipeline stays as it is: no re-piping, no new flange, no second spare housing on the shelf.
4. Bolted flange construction for on-site service The housing separates at a bolted flange ring. A technician opens the body, replaces the element and re-torques the flange on site, without cutting into the pipe or dismantling the complete assembly from the skid.
5. Pressure gauge for condition-based maintenance A gauge mounted on top of the housing shows the operating pressure. Element changes can then follow the actual pressure drop instead of a fixed calendar interval, avoiding premature replacement and unexpected pressure loss at the point of use.
6. Bottom drain for condensate removal The manual drain valve sits at the lowest point of the housing, where condensate collects. Draining it on the operating schedule keeps liquid water away from the element and prevents re-entrainment of moisture into the downstream air.
7. Configurable to the duty point Capacity, connection type and element grade are specified to match the compressor output and the required air quality: a 1.5 m³/min unit for mid-size compressors, larger housings for higher-flow lines, and the element grade matched to the target air quality. Because the housing is dimensioned once and only the element changes, the same unit can be re-specified if the air quality requirement is raised later.
8. Vertical in-line layout with the drain at the lowest point The housing stands vertically: horizontal inlet and outlet ports, the gauge mounted on top, and the drain valve at the bottom. Condensate falls away from the element instead of pooling around it, and the narrow vertical body fits an existing air treatment skid where floor space is already taken. Installation follows the existing pipe run, so the unit can be added to a line without redesigning the layout.
1.Food and beverage filling lines — sterile air for bottle, can and pouch filling, where the air stream contacts the product or the packaging surface.
2.Pharmaceutical and cleanroom packaging — bacteria removal for compressed air used in blister, vial and capsule packaging areas.
3.Fermentation and bioprocess — sterile air supply for fermentation tanks, culture and process aeration lines.
4.Medical breathing air systems — filtration of compressed air in hospital and dental air supply lines.
5.Cosmetics and personal care — sterile air for cream, lotion and spray filling equipment.
6.Electronics and precision assembly — dried, filtered air for blow-off and drying stations where particles and moisture are critical.
7.Dairy, beverage blending and CIP stations — sterile air for mixing, filling and blow-off during cleaning and product changeover.
8.Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) — filtered air for gas flushing and sealing stations, where the microbial load of the gas stream matters.
